The second law of thermodynamics states that the total entropy (disorder) of a closed system must always increase over time. As Spiral Energy continues to grow, it can be thought of as introducing more order (or negative entropy) into the universe. However, this artificial reduction in entropy comes at a cost, potentially leading to greater instability elsewhere in the system.

As the system approaches maximum order (or minimum entropy), any further increase in Spiral Energy could push the universe into a highly unstable state, resulting in a sudden and catastrophic increase in entropy—analogous to the Spiral Nemesis.
