New page

Psi Strength
Psi Strength is the Psi-Ops skill corresponding to capacitance in the Ohm's Law of Psi framework. It is the baseline capacity to accumulate, hold, and endure psi energy — the "battery size" of a practitioner's psionic system.

Universal Language Formalization
! Property !! Value
|-
| UL Primitive || Point (Existence)
|-
| Dependency Rank || 0 (presupposed by all other primitives)
|-
| Semantic || Atomic unit — the fundamental existence that everything else depends on
|-
| Σ_UL Sort || e (Entity) — Strength is the capacity of the entity itself
|-
| Ohm's Law Role || Capacitance (C) — energy storage capacity
|}

Strength is the Point primitive because it represents the most fundamental property: the bare capacity to exist and persist as a psi-active entity. Before a practitioner can build Pressure, generate Flow, or exercise Focus, they must have sufficient Strength — the baseline existence that supports everything else.

Electrical Analogy
In electrical circuits, capacitance (C) determines how much charge can be stored:

<math>Q = C \times V</math>

In psionic terms: the total Ψ a practitioner can accumulate = Strength × Pressure. A practitioner with high Strength can sustain high Pressure for longer without depletion. Low Strength means rapid fatigue regardless of other skills.

Physical Experience
* Sustained hold — maintaining a technique for extended periods without exhaustion
* Deep reserves — the feeling of having "more in the tank"
* Slow depletion — gradual decline rather than sudden drop-off
* Recovery rate — faster return to baseline after exertion

Training
* Endurance meditation — progressively longer meditation sessions (building the baseline)
* Long holds — sustain a specific Ψ state for increasing duration
* Progressive overload — gradually increase the intensity/duration of all exercises
* Recovery training — practice rapid recharge between efforts

In-Game Mechanic
Psi Strength determines:
* Maximum psi energy pool (total Ψ available)
* Stamina and endurance during extended psi operations
* Recovery rate between uses
* Resistance to psi fatigue and burnout

* Psi-Ops — the operational framework
* Psi Pressure — voltage (Strength determines how long Pressure can be sustained)
* Psi Power — output (Strength determines how many Power bursts are available)
