Prosperity

Prosperity, in the Cosmic Codex cluster's forward-projection, is the experiential / outcome correlate of Equitable Economies / Equitable Systems / Sustainable Systems — the broadly-shared flourishing of human population on a healed planet that the cluster projects as the disclosure-phase outcome.

The framework draws on the mainstream well-being / human-development tradition (Sen's capabilities approach, OECD Better Life Index, World Happiness Report) and extends it with cluster-specific premises about post-disclosure material and consciousness conditions.

Mainstream well-being framings

The framework draws on:

• Capabilities approach (Sen, Nussbaum). Flourishing in terms of capability to function across multiple domains; UNDP Human Development Index lineage.
• Subjective well-being research. Diener, Kahneman, et al; documented patterns in life-satisfaction and affect-balance measurements.
• Easterlin paradox and resolution. Stevenson-Wolfers refinement of income / well-being relationship; well-being continues rising with income but with declining slope.
• Social-determinants-of-health. Marmot's Whitehall studies; documented links between social position, autonomy, and health.
• Self-determination theory (Deci and Ryan). Autonomy, competence, relatedness as well-being substrates.
• Beyond-GDP framework discussions. Sarkozy Commission (Stiglitz-Sen-Fitoussi), OECD wellbeing indicators, Bhutan GNH, NZ wellbeing-budget.

These provide empirically-grounded operational frameworks. The cluster framework extends them with additional content.

Distinguishing from mainstream prosperity framings

The cluster framework converges with mainstream beyond-GDP frameworks on most properties. Key distinctive premises:

• Universal basic provision as routinely affordable. Enabled by Free Energy / Advanced Technologies cost-collapse.
• Consciousness-developmental dimension. Beyond mainstream well-being frameworks; metaphysical content.
• Cosmic Harmony alignment. Prosperity framed as the structural correlate of metaphysical cosmic order, not merely as preference-satisfaction.

Risks / asymmetries

The framework recognises some asymmetries from the mainstream literature:

• Hedonic adaptation. Material-condition improvements partly absorbed by adaptation; well-documented in well-being literature.
• Positional-goods dynamics. Some goods derive value from relative position; abundance does not solve.
• Meaning-vs-pleasure distinction. High life-satisfaction does not equate to high meaning; differential responses.

The cluster framework partly addresses these via the consciousness-developmental dimension; mainstream framings address them via cultural / philosophical engagement.

Critiques

• The cluster's strongest prosperity-projection depends on the Free Energy / Advanced Technologies premises being substantially correct.
• Mainstream beyond-GDP framings produce most of the same content without the cluster-specific premises; if those premises are not met, the framework collapses into the mainstream.
• The consciousness-developmental dimension is the cluster's most distinctive contribution but is also its least empirically-tractable.
