Astrological Frequency Harmonics is the working hypothesis, internal to the Tho'ra Clan's Psi-Tech framework, that astrological aspects (planetary angular relationships) can be mapped onto entrainment frequencies via simple harmonic ratios. It is the theoretical scaffolding behind the Psi Harmonizer's mode-selection logic.

The mapping

Each major astrological aspect corresponds to a small-integer angular fraction of 360°. The hypothesis maps each fraction to a harmonic of a base entrainment frequency f₀ (typically the Schumann fundamental, 7.83 Hz):

Aspect Angle Harmonic ratio Mapped frequency (f₀ = 7.83 Hz)
Conjunction 1/1 7.83 Hz
Opposition 180° 1/2 3.92 Hz
Trine 120° 1/3 2.61 Hz
Square 90° 1/4 1.96 Hz
Sextile 60° 1/6 1.31 Hz
Quintile 72° 1/5 1.57 Hz
Semi-sextile 30° 1/12 0.65 Hz

The base frequency is operator-configurable; alternatives explored in development include the alpha-band centre (10 Hz), the cardiac-coherence band (0.1 Hz), and golden-ratio derivations (1.618 × f₀).

Why this is speculative

There is no known physical mechanism by which a geometric relationship between planetary positions (as seen from Earth) could modulate a brain-band electromagnetic frequency. The hypothesis is two-step:

  1. An astrological aspect carries a real semantic / archetypal weight (this is itself a synodic-cycle claim; outside mainstream science).
  2. That weight is best engaged by entraining the operator at the corresponding harmonic of a natural base frequency.

Both steps are framework-internal. The mapping is consistent with Sacred Geometry, Pythagorean tuning theory, and Solfeggio numerology, but those traditions are themselves not empirically grounded as physics.

Falsification criterion

The hypothesis is testable: a blinded crossover trial of operators on real vs. sham Harmonizer settings, with outcomes measured as operator-reported clarity / decision quality during astrologically marked windows, should show a non-zero effect size if the mapping carries any predictive content beyond placebo.

  • Pre-registration required (mapping defined before trial).
  • Sham condition: random aspect-to-frequency assignment.
  • Effect size threshold: Cohen's d ≥ 0.3 over N ≥ 30 sessions.

A null result on this trial retires the Harmonizer Mk1 mechanism and re-classifies the device as a ritual aid only.
