Sometimes people veer off the path of the timeline and become a Variant.

Variants can manifest because of things like:

  • Uprisings
  • Being Late for Work
  • etc.

Stepping off the path of the Narrative Timeline can cause a Nexus Event


A Nexus Event, if left unchecked, can branch off into madness.
