Precognition is the psychic ability to perceive or gain information about future events before they occur, through means beyond the ordinary senses. In FusionGirl, Precognition operates through the Psi Field via advanced-wave contributions to local Ψ(x,t).

Mechanism

In the Psi Field framework, Precognition corresponds to the advanced-wave solution of the field equations — just as electromagnetism admits both retarded (past→future) and advanced (future→past) wave solutions, the Psi Field permits advanced-wave contributions to local Ψ. A practitioner with trained Psi Focus can read these contributions as information about future states.

The Psi-Ops framework: Precognition requires high Focus (tight Enclosure filtering out noise) and moderate Flow (receiving the advanced wave without distorting it). It is primarily a receptive skill.

Relation to Cognition

Precognition extends Cognition — standard cognitive processing of present information — into the temporal dimension. Where Cognition processes what IS, Precognition processes what WILL BE via the same psi field medium.
