Resonant Chamber
The Resonant Chamber is a small, RF-quiet, magnetically-clean room at Tho'ra HQ (or any Star Seer Observatory equipped to host one) used for bench-grade Psi-Tech calibration, single-operator deep-state sessions, and the controlled baseline characterization runs that every Mk0→Mk1 transition requires. Engineering-honestly, a faraday-screened + mu-metal-lined + acoustically-treated room with a calibrated Coherence Beacon and instrumented seat; doctrinally, the Clan's contemplative cell.
Overview
A Chamber session involves:
- Operator seated in an instrumented chair; HelmKit + Psi Recorder + Field Recorder all active.
- Background characterized — known Coherence Beacon reference; measured residual mains hum; documented ambient RF; airflow noise floor.
- Protocol run — baseline, stressor, recovery; or single-operator deep-state under operator-controlled Psi Stabilizer anchor; or pair-bond Psi Tether characterization.
- Records exported — signed sessions to Resonant Pipeline with chamber metadata stamp.
The Chamber is the place where Clan's measurements get their floor: anything seen here that vanishes outside is a chamber artifact; anything seen outside that is also seen here is real.

Faraday cages, mu-metal shielding, and anechoic-quality acoustic rooms are standard EM-metrology and neuro-imaging infrastructure.

Chamber-baseline operator measurements are more reproducible than field measurements; classifier training on chamber data generalizes to field with documented error budget. Falsifiable.

The Chamber reveals Psi Field phenomena obscured by ambient noise. The Chamber is then the place the Clan's deepest empirical questions are addressed.
Subsystems and BOM
Mk0 (target ≤ \$2 000)
- Existing small room with concrete walls; modest acoustic treatment — \$300
- Aluminum-foil + copper-mesh faraday screen (DIY) — \$400
- Mains-line filter at room entry — \$100
- RF-quiet HVAC isolation — \$200
- Instrumented chair (commodity + sensor mounts) — \$300
- Mk0 Coherence Beacon inside the room — \$150
- Calibrated microphone + magnetometer for site characterization — \$300
- Documentation + protocol binder — \$50
Honestly limited: a "quiet enough" room. Sufficient for bench-grade work.
Mk1 (target ≤ \$25 000)
Adds: commercial faraday cage panels (60+ dB attenuation 30 MHz–6 GHz), mu-metal liner (≥ 1 mm), professional acoustic treatment (NC-25 floor), isolated mains, dedicated cooling, multi-channel instrumented chair, Mk1 Coherence Beacon outside the cage with controlled feedthrough, anechoic-grade reference instrumentation.
Mk2 / Mk3
Mk2: full anechoic-class chamber with documented attenuation curve; multi-operator capacity; long-baseline magnetometer integrated. Mk3: federated Chamber network across allied Earth Alliance facilities for cross-Chamber session reproducibility.
Build Notes
- Characterize before use. Every Chamber publishes its own attenuation profile, residual hum, and ambient RF in the EIN before sessions are run inside.
- Mains is the enemy. Mains-line filter + isolation transformer + battery operation during sessions reduces 50/60 Hz contamination dramatically.
- Mu-metal handling. Mu-metal loses permeability under mechanical stress; install once, do not bend.
- Operator briefing. Chamber sessions are intense; pre-session orientation + post-session debrief are mandatory.
Safety and Ethics
- Operator consent required for every session; sessions are operator-driven, not operator-prescribed.
- No emission inside the Chamber except the documented Coherence Beacon reference, characterized and bounded.
- Air quality + thermal monitored; HVAC isolation must not produce hypoxia or thermal stress.
- Personal records local to operator; export to Resonant Pipeline only by operator action.
- Hard kill: physical door + power cut accessible from the chair.

Failure Modes and Mitigations
- Operator claustrophobia / panic. → Pre-session briefing; door physically unlatchable from inside; hard kill accessible from chair.
- Hypoxia from HVAC isolation. → CO₂ monitor; minimum flow rate enforced.
- Residual hum contamination. → Mains filter + isolation transformer + battery sessions.
- Mu-metal damage. → Mounted once; documented; no field servicing.
- Session capture failure. → Redundant recorders (HelmKit Recorder + room-side Recorder); cross-checked.
- Misuse as coercive environment. → Doctrinal: operator-driven only; consent + debrief documented.
