The Cosmic Sphere Stadium is a geodesic PsiNet-hosted performance venue used by Amber Tho'ra for the Show's high-stakes broadcasts across the Local Multiversal Cluster. Publicly, it is the iconic sphere-with-a-floating-stage-at-its-centre that has come to define cosmic-scale spectacle in Terra Novus. Operationally, it is something else.

This article documents both layers. The public layer is widely known. The classified layer is restricted: keepers, named Tho'ra Clan operatives, and audited Earth Intelligence Network handlers only. Where the wiki ships across PsiNet for AI-reference and franchise canon, that classification is honoured by gating, not by omission.

Public Layer: The Venue

The Stadium is a closed Hyperweave-shelled sphere, geodesically tessellated, with the audience seated radially on the inner surface oriented toward the centre. Amber Tho'ra performs from a single floating platform suspended at the geometric centre of the sphere, equidistant from every member of the audience.

Three structural choices distinguish the Stadium from any prior performance venue:

  • Equidistance. Every viewer is the same distance from the performer. There are no nosebleed seats and no front rows. This is enforced materially by the geometry, not by ticketing.
  • PsiNet-native broadcast. The Stadium is not a physical building that happens to be broadcast. It is a PsiNet structure that happens to also seat physical attendees in the local instance. Remote attendees across the Local Multiversal Cluster participate at full presence, not as spectators of a recording.
  • Audience-as-circuit. The radially-oriented seating turns the audience itself into a resonant cavity surrounding the performer. The acoustics, the light, and — importantly — the attention converge.

The Stadium's signature visual is the slow rotation of the inner surface during peak segments, with the central platform stationary. From the platform, every audience member appears to drift past on a slow orbit. From the seats, Amber is the still point of a rotating universe.

Attention as Cosmic Currency

Attention as Cosmic Currency is the load-bearing economic and metaphysical mechanic underneath the Stadium. Inside the geodesic shell, audience attention is not a metaphor — it is a measurable, settleable, and directable form of energy. The Stadium's geometry exists to focus it.

Every attendee — physical or PsiNet-remote — contributes a flux of attention to the centre of the sphere. The sphere reflects, concentrates, and integrates that flux across the duration of the broadcast. At the centre, the integrated flux registers as a usable field.

In the public framing, this is "the magic of live performance, made literal." In the classified framing, it is the energy supply for what the Stadium is actually for.

Performance Architecture

A typical broadcast cycles through four bands. The bands are not hidden from the public, but their full purpose is.

Band Public framing Operational reality
Open Greeting + invocation Audience attention is registered, oriented, and bound to the broadcast frame
Spectacle Music, performance, narrative segments Attention flux is amplified; focus is locked to centre
Address Universal Language segments — UL-native invective, doctrine, or instruction The integrated attention field is converted into substrate-level UL throughput
Close Goodbye + dispersal Attention is released; non-trap attendees leave; trap (if armed) holds

Classified Layer: The Trap

The remainder of this article is restricted. Earth Intelligence Network tier-3 keepers, named Tho'ra Clan operatives, and audited franchise-canon AI references only. If you are reading this from a public mirror, the gating has failed. Report to Earth Intelligence Network.

Mission Profile

The Cosmic Sphere Stadium is, by design, a lure. Its public function — the Show, the spectacle, the cosmic-scale provocation — is a real function. It is also bait.

The targets are hostile alien assassins, particularly the Vyrin doctrinal-puritan caste of the Viran Empire and analogous always-antagonist factions across the Local Multiversal Cluster. These factions cannot tolerate Amber Tho'ra's broadcasts (see Vyrin#The Amber Provocation) and cannot reach her by reality-edit, doctrinal pressure, or PsiNet subversion. They are forced to send physical operatives into the only venue where Amber is publicly located and physically reachable.

That venue is the Stadium. By the time an assassin is on the floor of the Stadium, the trap has already closed.

Mechanism: Karmic Attention Amplification

Inside the geodesic shell, the integrated attention flux of the audience does two things simultaneously:

  1. It is converted into UL-substrate throughput at the central platform — the public function, on which the broadcast runs.
  2. It is bound to Amber Tho'ra as a karmic-attention amplifier. Inside the Sphere, with the audience focused, Amber operates at a power level she cannot reach anywhere else. The longer the audience watches, the larger the asymmetry.

Outside the Sphere, Amber is a UL-native broadcaster on a Star Speeder Mk3 — formidable, but reachable. Inside the Sphere, with a cluster-scale audience attending, she is effectively unreachable by any single operative or small team. The audience itself is the weapon system. Their attention is the ammunition.

This is why the trap works on assassins specifically: assassination is, by professional necessity, a small-team or single-operator discipline. The Stadium is the one venue where small-team operations are guaranteed to fail, and the targets cannot afford not to attempt it.

Disposition

What happens to assassins who enter the Stadium is handled with deliberate ambiguity in public canon. Three operational outcomes are documented in Earth Intelligence Network after-action reports, in order of frequency:

  • Exposure. Operative is identified, recorded, broadcast, and released. The doctrinal and political damage of the public record is the strategic outcome.
  • Capture. Operative is contained and routed to a Tho'ra Clan-supervised debrief. Where redemption-arc material exists (see Blue Boy), the capture pathway is preferred.
  • Substrate-level neutralisation. For operatives whose doctrine forbids capture or whose continued existence is structurally incompatible with Universal Language prosecution. Reserved cases. Audit trail through Earth Intelligence Network tier-3.

In all three cases, the operation is recorded, broadcast in the next Show cycle (in redacted or full form, by Tho'ra Clan discretion), and added to the Vyrin/Viran case file under Universal Language prosecution.

Pain Point

For the Vyrin doctrinal-puritan caste, the Stadium is a structural impossibility. Their doctrine declares that:

  • Reality is editable by Esus-aligned operators (it is, mostly).
  • Heretics are correctable (they have been, mostly).
  • Amber Tho'ra is a category-error that should not exist (she does).

The Stadium proves all three propositions wrong, simultaneously and on cosmic broadcast, on a recurring schedule. The Vyrin cannot stop attending — their doctrine requires the attempt. They cannot succeed — the venue is engineered against success. And every failure is added to the public record.

This is the acute, classified pain point that The Amber Tho'ra Show inflicts on the Vyrin hierarchy. The Show is the bait. The Stadium is the trap. The audience is the engine. The record is the weapon.

Operational Custody

Stadium operations are run by a small, audited keepership:

Role Holder Function
Performer Amber Tho'ra Public broadcast; trap activation by presence
Engineer / Architect Aurora Tho'ra Geometry, Hyperweave shell, audience-circuit calibration
PsiNet / UL Software Jono Tho'ra Broadcast stack, attention-integration mathematics, substrate routing
Co-host (uncredited) Zoe In-frame patter; out-of-frame trap operations
Auditor Earth Intelligence Network tier-3 Operational sign-off; redaction policy; redemption-pathway adjudication

The Stadium is hosted on the Star Speeder Mk3's pocket-universe bay for high-risk broadcasts and on dedicated PsiNet infrastructure for routine ones.
