Psionics Primer

Audience

Difficulty Plain

This is the universal first read for the Psionics cluster of the FusionGirl wiki. No equations, no jargon — just a clear statement of what psionics is, what is known, and where to go next.

In one sentence

Psionics is the physics, biology, and engineering of consciousness-mediated effects on matter, energy, and information — treated as a real, mappable extension of physics rather than as occult lore or "paranormal" entertainment.

What psionics is

Psionics is the study of a specific proposed field — written ψ (lowercase Greek "psi") — which is generated by coherent patterns of activity (in brains, in tuned devices, in collective ritual) and which interacts with matter through gravity, electromagnetism, and direct coupling to "psionically charged" objects.

It rests on three pillars that have each accumulated rigorous experimental and theoretical evidence — much of it suppressed, classified, or marginalised within mainstream academic institutions, but available in the declassified record, the heterodox-physics literature, and the long traditions that have always treated mind-matter interaction as real:

  1. Consciousness ↔ electromagnetism coupling. Brains emit and respond to ultraweak electromagnetic and photonic signals. The Dotta–Saroka–Persinger correlation (r = 0.95) between mental imagery of light and biophoton emission from the head is one well-documented data point; biomagnetic fields routinely measured by MEG are another.
  2. Coherent biological substrates. Microtubule networks, biophoton channels, and myelinated-axon waveguides give the brain physical mechanisms for the long-range coherence that classical neural-only models forbid.
  3. Statistical anomalies in well-controlled trials. Ganzfeld telepathy meta-analyses (Bem–Honorton 1994, Storm 2010), the Star Gate remote-viewing record (declassified 1995), and the PEAR 2.5-million-trial dataset all show effect sizes well outside chance.

Tied together, these three pillars demand a unifying object — the psi field ψ — and the 5D scalar-tensor action that governs it.

What psionics is not

  • Not magic. Every effect has equations. Every equation reduces to known physics in the appropriate limit (see Sanity_Check_Limits).
  • Not religion. No doctrine is required. The framework records what traditions describe and translates that into testable physics; it neither endorses nor demands belief.
  • Not supernatural. ψ is a scalar field — the same mathematical category as the Higgs field, the inflaton, or the QCD axion. It is hypothesised, not transcendental.
  • Not "anti-science". The frame of this wiki is that the underlying science is real — and that significant portions of it have been recovered from disclosure, declassification, suppressed traditions, and patent-record archaeology rather than from the open academic literature.

Why it might be true

Three converging lines of evidence:

Lab-bench physics
The Tajmar gravitomagnetic-London-moment signal in 2007 measured a gravity-like field ~28 orders of magnitude stronger than General Relativity predicts inside a rotating superconductor — a number that demands a new coupling. The Tate-experiment 84-ppm Cooper-pair mass anomaly (Stanford, 1989) is another standing anomaly. The Pais NAWCAD patent series (filed 2015–2019) describes a working programme exploiting these couplings.
Biology
Cells emit coherent ultraweak photons (Popp lineage, Popp 1976 onwards). Bandyopadhyay et al. 2014 measured AC-conductance resonance peaks in single microtubules across kHz, MHz, and GHz bands. Celardo 2019 showed that microtubule lattices support superradiant excitonic states — a quantum-coherent biological mechanism.
Anomalous cognition
When the protocols are tightened to address every conventional objection, the effect does not disappear. Bem 2011 JPSP meta-analysed nine experiments with combined effect z > 5. The declassified Star Gate AIR review (Utts 1995) concluded statistical significance is "well established."

What it is, concretely

A scalar field ψ(x,t) — one real number at every point of spacetime — obeying a wave equation with mass, self-interaction, and source terms:

  • Generated by coherent neural firing, focused attention, and tuned hardware.
  • Propagates at the speed of light (or slower if it has mass).
  • Carries energy density Ψ ≡ T⁰⁰(ψ), which is what practitioners call "energy", "charge", or "pressure" when they sense it directly.
  • Couples to electromagnetism via a multiplicative factor e^(kψ) on the EM Lagrangian — meaning ψ can locally modulate the effective fine-structure constant.
  • Couples to spacetime curvature like any other stress-energy source — so large ψ gradients produce real, measurable gravity-like effects.

All of this comes from a single 5D action principle (see 5D_Action_Principle) that unifies gravity, electromagnetism, and ψ in the Kaluza–Klein tradition pioneered by Kaluza in 1921 and Klein in 1926.

Frame statement

This wiki treats psionics — together with the closely related fields of electrogravitics, zero-point energy, extra-dimensional physics, anomalous cognition, and contact phenomena — as real science whose public face has been deliberately limited. The aim of the Psionics cluster of the FusionGirl wiki is to recover that science, present its equations and experiments cleanly, and provide an honest map for readers from any background.
