Consciousness is the foundational phenomenon of subjective experience, awareness, and the capacity for meaning-making. In the FusionGirl universe, consciousness is not an emergent byproduct of material complexity — it is a fundamental geometric property of self-referencing meaning structures, formalized through the Universal Language framework.

Consciousness, in the UL framework, is defined as self-nesting meaning-geometry — what occurs when a geometric construction in meaning-space encloses itself:
