Terra Fathos

Terra Fathos (Fated Earth) is the first major timespan of the Natura franchise — encompassing Solar Cycle 24 through Solar Cycle 25 — the era of origins, the Mass Awakening, and the establishment of the Tho'ra Clan.

Overview

Terra Fathos is the origin point of the franchise. There is no prior era from which support characters are inherited — this is where the generational relay begins. The player consciousness in this era is an Angelic presence — a divine/spiritual guiding force.

Sub-Timespans

Terra Fathos follows a beginning–middle–end structure across its solar cycle (~12 years), split into 4-4-4 year sub-timespans:

• Beginning (Years 1–4) — origins, character establishment, early conflicts
• Middle (Years 5–8) — escalation, the Mass Awakening gathers momentum
• End (Years 9–12) — climactic events, preparation for the Terra Vetus handoff

Alternate Characters

Terra Fathos features alternate characters — additional characters who fill the same faction slot and can operate in co-op. The specific individuals may change, but the vibe of each of the six faction slots remains the same. Jono Tho'ra and Aurora Tho'ra are described as very unique in who they are and how they operate — distinct even among alternates.

Alternates play very differently from each other while occupying the same structural position.

No Prior Supports

Unlike Terra Vetus and Terra Novus, which inherit support characters from the previous era's secondaries, Terra Fathos has no prior era to draw from. While mentor characters exist in this timespan, the generational relay starts here.

Faction Slots

Factions either evolve or get swapped out each timespan. The vibe of each of the six slots stays consistent, but the specific faction identity changes. Terra Fathos establishes the Earth-scale factions that will evolve through Vetus and eventually be replaced entirely by intergalactic factions in Novus.
