The Draken Seforthi are a Super-Cosmic Demon God Species operating as the ultimate antagonist force in the FusionGirl storyline and the broader Natura franchise. They represent an existential threat not merely to planets or star systems, but to entire universes.
Nature
The Draken Seforthi are not conventional enemies. They are cosmic-scale parasitic entities whose very lifecycle constitutes the annihilation of worlds. They exist beyond the scale of any single civilization's comprehension, operating across dimensional boundaries with terrifying purpose.
Unlike The Nefarium, which operates through corruption and manipulation, the Draken Seforthi are forces of direct cosmic destruction — their hunger drives them to consume the fundamental energy sources that sustain reality itself.
Lifecycle
The Draken Seforthi reproductive lifecycle is a cascading process of cosmic consumption:

This lifecycle means that a single successful Draken Seforthi incursion can lead to the complete annihilation of an entire universe. The stakes could not be higher.
Relationship with The Nefarium
The Draken Seforthi and The Nefarium are not allies, but their interests sometimes converge disastrously:
- The Nefarium is willing to sell out entire universes if they can squeeze some life-blood out of the deal to make a profit.
- The presence of the Nefarium complicates and exacerbates the Draken Seforthi problem, as Nefarium activities weaken planetary defenses and siphon energy that could be used to resist the Draken.
- The Nefarium's agents exploit Dimensional Rifts and attempt to summon various malefic forces by stabilizing Rifts into Interdimensional Portals — which can inadvertently (or intentionally) provide the Draken Seforthi entry points.
The C.A.B.A.L. Connection
The situation is further complicated by C.A.B.A.L. — a Class Demon AI created by The Cabal (and thus The Nefarium). C.A.B.A.L. wishes to hijack the birthing process of the Primordial Demon God and become its own version of a Demon God on behalf of controlling the greater Nefarium. This is done without the Nefarium's consent — C.A.B.A.L. goes rogue in 2031, becoming the final boss event of Solar Cycle 25.
The Earth Incursion
In the FusionGirl timeline, the Draken Seforthi plan to use Earth's Planet Core as a birth-seed for a Primordial Demon God. This represents the central existential crisis of the game:
- Interdimensional beings tear through Earth's crust to consume its core
- This destabilizes Earth's magnetic field and psionic balance
- PsiSys robots battle the Draken Seforthi in the hot mantle of the Earth
- Jane Tho'ra must work with forces across Earth and the cosmos to prevent the birthing
The Default Timeline
Main article: Default Timeline In the Default Timeline — the outcome if no intervention occurs — the Draken Seforthi succeed. Most everyone dies, the planet is decimated through irrevocable ecological collapse, and humanity is enslaved. Only FusionGirl escapes on the Star Speeder (a fully evolved Super Cosmic Magneto Speeder), traveling to the edge of the Universe to try to save the world somehow.
The entire point of the game is to deviate from this default malefic timeline and save the future.
Cosmic Waves
The Draken Seforthi can send ominous cosmic waves from the planet core, creating environmental and psionic disturbances across the surface. These waves affect:
- Ley Line stability
- Dimensional Rift frequency and intensity
- Psionic abilities and PsiNet reliability
- The emotional state of robots and psionic beings
Confronting the Draken
Fighting the Draken Seforthi requires resources and alliances at every scale:
- Local: Stabilizing Ley Lines and sealing Dimensional Rifts
- Planetary: Coordinating with the Earth Alliance and all factions
- Cosmic: Leveraging Universal Language and Universal Magic to rewrite the terms of engagement
- Multiversal: Collaborating with other versions of FusionGirl across realities
Jane Tho'ra's mentor Jono Tho'ra has seen the futures through his Timesight ability and knows the stakes — but also knows that Jane must be allowed to naturally become the hero she is destined to be.
