The Van Dekar Legacy
Though Travis Dekar was scrapped as a character, the Van Dekar surname persists in the franchise through Tara Van Dekar — one of the two Main Characters of Terra Fathos. The connection between Travis and Tara through the Van Dekar name suggests a lineage or clan connection that survived the narrative restructuring, even as the character himself was removed.
