Bix is a member of a shorter furry species and a representative of the Galactic Federation in the Terra Novus crew.

Overview

Bix comes from a Star Trek-style galactic federation of planets — a multi-species interstellar civilization not far from Earth. Despite their proximity, the Galactic Federation never managed to reach Earth because the Viran Empire is "such an intergalactic bitch" — their interference and territorial control blocked the Federation's expansion toward humanity's homeworld.

Bix's presence in the Terra Novus crew represents the first meaningful contact between Earth-aligned factions and the Galactic Federation, made possible only by the cosmic-scale events of the Novus era.

Dynamic with Blue Boy

Bix and Blue Boy in the same crew creates an inherent tension: the Galactic Federation that Bix represents was blocked from reaching Earth specifically by the Viran Empire that Blue Boy represents. Their coexistence within the Novus crew forces both to navigate a history of intergalactic grievance at close quarters.
