Global Defense Initiative
The Global Defense Initiative (GDI) is a United Nations-sanctioned military coalition operating under the authority of the Earth Alliance. GDI serves as the primary coordinated defense force for Earth during the events of Solar Cycle 25 and Terra Vetus.
Overview
GDI was established to provide a unified global military response to threats from The Nefarium, Dimensional Rifts, and other interdimensional incursions. It operates as the enforcement arm of the Earth Alliance, coordinating multinational forces under a shared command structure.
Zone Operations Command
Main article: Zone Operations Command ZOCOM (Zone Operations Command) is GDI's specialized division for Zone Reclamation operations — the systematic clearing and restoration of territories corrupted by Nefarium influence, Dimensional Rifts, or Draken Seforthi contamination.
Jono Tho'ra serves as an Earth Alliance Starcom Field Commander leading ZOCOM operations.

Relationship to Earth Alliance
