Pop Cells are support-tier modular energy containers for on-the-go power replenishment. They are one-time-use energy packs that activate, create a large amount of energy for a short duration, overheat, and then pop off — hence the name.

Mechanism

The "pop" is literal:

1. Activate — the cell is triggered (manually, by suit command, or automatically)
2. Generate — the cell produces a massive burst of energy over a short period
3. Overheat — the reaction exhausts the cell's fuel, causing thermal overload
4. Pop Off — the spent cell detaches and ejects with an audible "pop"

Uses

Pop Cells serve as quick-swap energy packs for:

• Suit recharge — topping off the Fusion Engine Suit in the field
• Wing energy dispersal — channeling buffered Fusion Wings energy through Fusion Cells for exothermic/endothermic reactions, converting plasma into dense matter
• Emergency power — instant energy for critical systems
• Weapon charging — rapid-loading energy weapons

Fusion Wing Integration

Pop Cells play a critical role in Fusion Wings operation. The wings act as hyper-capacitors — energy stored in them must be dispersed before the wings can safely disengage. Pop Cells channel this energy through the Fusion Cells to perform both exothermic and endothermic reactions, effectively converting the wing's plasma energy into inert dense matter. This is the standard safe wing-shutdown procedure.
