A Psi Emitter is a hardware device that projects, shapes, and sustains Psi Fields. Psi Emitters are the fundamental building blocks of all Tho'ra psionic technology — every psionic device, from Psionic Defenses to Fusion Wings to Sparkle Flairs, relies on Psi Emitters to generate and control psionic energy.
Function
Psi Emitters convert electrical/fusion energy into coherent psionic field output. They can:
- Project psionic fields — creating barriers, auras, and communication channels
- Shape psionic energy — forming fields into blades (Psi Blades), shields (Defense Discs), or sensor arrays
- Sustain psionic phenomena — maintaining stable fields over time (with Psi Stabilizers)
- Communicate — transmitting data via Psionic Field Projection over the PsiLink network
- Deceive — spoofing sensors of all types (Sparkle Flairs)
Mesh Network
Psi Emitters are connected via PsiLink into a mesh network alongside Neural Network Hardware. This mesh forms the physical substrate that PsiSys runs on. Each emitter acts as both a node (processing) and an antenna (transmitting/receiving).
Scale
Psi Emitters range from:
- Micro-emitters — fingertip-sized, embedded in suit components
- Standard emitters — palm-sized, mounted on suit hardpoints
- Array emitters — large multi-element arrays for high-power applications
- Facility emitters — installation-scale for base defense and communication
