Neural Network Hardware is the physical processing substrate that PsiSys runs on. Distributed throughout the Fusion Engine Suit, these hardware nodes connect to Psi Emitters via PsiLink to form the intelligent psionic mesh network that manages all suit functions.
Architecture
Neural Network Hardware operates as a distributed neural processing system:
- Each hardware node processes local psionic data
- Nodes connect to Psi Emitters for input/output
- The mesh forms through PsiLink — each node relays for neighboring nodes
- The collective mesh produces PsiSys — an emergent intelligent system
Function
Neural Network Hardware provides:
- Signal processing — interpreting psionic field data from Psi Emitters
- Pattern recognition — identifying threats, targets, and environmental conditions
- Decision support — providing PsiSys with the computing substrate for intelligent behavior
- Communication routing — managing PsiLink mesh traffic between suit, vehicle, and team nodes
- Defense coordination — processing threat data for Psionic Defenses reconfiguration
Vulnerability
The Neural Network Hardware mesh is the primary target of Psi Weapons. Defense Discs exist specifically to protect these hardware nodes — creating directional psionic shields that prevent hostile psionic energy from scrambling the neural processors.
