Cosmic Egg
A Cosmic Egg is a term describing a planet — specifically a Nexus World — that has been infected and targeted by a Draken Seforthi as the incubation site for a Primordial Demon God.
Overview
In the Draken Seforthi reproductive lifecycle, a planet's core serves as the energy source that births a new Demon God. When a Nexus World is targeted, it is effectively converted into a Cosmic Egg — the planet's sacred life-giving energy is perverted into fuel for cosmic-scale parasitic reproduction.
Earth as Cosmic Egg
In the Default Timeline, Earth becomes a Cosmic Egg. This is catastrophic on multiple levels:
- Earth is a Nexus World — a sacred angel-producing planet, not a random rock
- Earth is part of a node-web of interconnected magical life-giving worlds across the Local Universe and Universal Cluster
- When a Nexus World is consumed, it doesn't just destroy one planet — it damages the entire network of sacred worlds, weakening cosmic balance everywhere
- The result is total annihilation: "everyone dies except Fusion Girl, who escapes on The Star Speeder" (per the Default Timeline)
The Root Cause
Earth's vulnerability to becoming a Cosmic Egg is not natural. The Viran Empire's cosmic religious imprinting — encoding the religion of Esus into the fabric of reality — weakened the sacred web of Nexus Worlds, creating the vulnerability that Draken Seforthi exploit through Void Incursions.
Prevention
Preventing Earth from becoming a Cosmic Egg is, at its most fundamental level, the central mission of the entire Natura franchise. Every hero across every era — from Tara Van Dekar and Deva Raja in Terra Fathos, through Jane Tho'ra in Terra Vetus, to Tarr'i and Amber Tho'ra in Terra Novus — is ultimately working to protect Earth (and all Nexus Worlds) from this fate.
